For those who've already gone through separation anxiety, how long did it last for you? We've been going through this for I'm thinking at least a month already. He seems to do okay if he knows I've left the house, but if I'm just upstairs or something, he just screams for me endlessly. It's pretty frustrating for all of us. Hoping it will pass soon!

Re: Separation anxiety - how long?
I can't answer the How Long part...but we are also going through the exact same thing. Jack also seems to do okay if I've left the house (still has his moments here and there but not as bad as when I'm at home and in the other room doing something. Its def. very frustrating and I know its hard on DH that DS wants me and nothing to do with DH !! Hopefully this will pass soon...it so funny how this can happen at such different ages. Good Luck and I'm right there with u!!
We never went through it in the house - she has always been fine with either of us.
We are still going through it though when I have to leave her somewhere (such as daycare). ?It actually has escalated as she has gotten older and can talk more.
I don't know the best way to handle your situation. As frustrating as it would be, I would probably let him cry it out kind of in the same manner we did at bedtime as it seems like a control issue more than him not being comfortable with your DH (as you said he does fine if you are gone).?
?Good luck and I hope it soon shall pass.?
Surprise! Surprise! DD is just like Evan's dd! I also agree with Evans on how to handle it. I think you need to get him to work it out... even if that means crying. You will have to have DH really try to entertain him with his favorite things to take his mind off you being gone.
