HCG Shot - Refrigerated?

I just got my medications for IUI in the mail, and the HCG shot isn't refrigerated. Do I need to refrigerate it if the injection isn't mixed yet? Or does it just need to be refrigerated after it is mixed if I'm not using it yet? TIA!

If it is the kind that you have to mix up, I never refrigerated.

I feel like I refrigerated the ovidrel shots, but I could be wrong as it has been a long time since I did one of those.

  • no mine specifically said on the box to keep between 54 and 74 degrees. Which is basically room temperature.

  • Yeah - It's the kind I have to mix up. Thanks so much! I know I am worrying about the details too much, but they are the only thing I can control right now :)

This is what I was told to do.

  • Agree...the mix up is a powder and like a saline solution or something so no need to refrigerate...the ovidrel is premixed so that one I refrigerated. Good luck!

If it's saline solution + powder, and you mix it when you need it; no need to refrigerate.
