Hello. I didn't realize until recently that the bump had an adoption board. I wanted to share my story with you and say thank you.
I was adopted when I was six weeks old by a wonderful family. I would be in a world of hurt without my family because my birthmother was unable to care for me due to mental illness. When I was 17 years old I got pregnant and decided it was best to give my baby to a family that could care for him better than I could. I found a wonderful family and even though it was the hardest choice I have even made I know in my heart it was the right choice.
Now 8 years later my new husband and I are expecting a baby boy and we are overjoyed. We hope to also adopt someday because I feel to connected to the adoption process.
I wanted to thank you all for adopting. As an adopted child and a birthmother I know that what you are doing is truly amazing. Thank you for letting me share my story and good luck to all of you as you move through the adoption process.
Re: Dropping by to say thank you.
I have to agree with Fred. Thank you for making the choice to place your child for adoption and making another family complete. Feel free to weigh in on this board as you have a very unique viewpoint that I'm sure we would all love to hear!
Congratulations on your new baby boy!!!
