Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Do you recommend buying a stroller w/ a tray?

Do you have a stroller that doesn?t have a tray for your baby/toddler to put their sippy cup or treats on? I like the MAXI-COSI FORAY stroller, but when we were looking at it yesterday, it didn?t have a little tray.  This is my first baby & I?m wondering if I need to find a different stroller that does have a tray. Can some of you experienced mommies please help me out? (Oh, and I know that we will use the car seat that snaps into the stroller for the first 6 months or so, but when the baby is older I'm wondering if they'll need the tray.)

Here is the link to stroller:

 Thanks!

  • I would get one with a tray. I put puffs in there for my little guy. It's nice especially if we're at the zoo. He likes to sit up and hold on to the tray and look around.

  • We don't have a stray on our stroller and I've never wished for one. DS would just litter the ground as I pushed him around.  We have a skate and you can buy a tray. You should see if they have a tray for the stroller you like.
  • We have the Bugaboo cameleon (which doesn't have a tray) and this is the primary stroller we use when we're out and about. Our other stroller...has the tray and we use it on occasion but not regularly.(If we're outside working on our yard or something...we'll give Em a snack in this stroller)

I can't say that I really miss having the tray when I'm out though.

  • We have a BOB stroller (no tray) and I have never encountered a time when I wish we had one. If there was one there, maybe we'd use it, but I've never missed having one.

We mostly use the chicco cortina stroller, which does have a tray.  We do use the tray, and DS will eat pieces of fruit or puffs or whatever out of it. He also likes to teethe on it sometimes.

But would we miss it if it weren't there?  I don't know.  Eventually, DS will be old enough to hold his own snack cup and eat from it, so there's that. And the tray doesn't really keep him from throwing things out of the stroller if he so desires.

ETA: Tray or no tray, I would NEVER spend $350 on a stroller.  It's going to get food and drink all over it, probably poop and pee and sweat, too. It'll get beat up going into and out of your car, etc.  I promise you can find one for $150 or $200 that will do exactly the same job.
