TTC after 35

Ouch!

Had the HSG today.  I can't believe some of you didn't find it painful.  You all must have a very high pain tolerance.  It hurt so much.  I about jumped off the table, yelled out, etc.  I'm glad I didn't know it would hurt like that or I would have been really nervous.  Good news is that my tubes are all clear.

Still waiting on the results from the SA.  Otherwise, everything has checked out normal.

Re: Ouch!

  • Mine was incredibly painful too. Didn't help that I had a newer person doing it and they were jittery. They actually wanted to stop and have me come back to do it again. I said hell no. just wanted to get it over with. good luck.
  • Owwww.  By your description I hope I don't have to have one.   But I'm glad to hear that your tubes are clear.

I'm sorry that it was so painful.  I gotta admit I'm always surprised when someone comments that their HSG was not painful.  I tried to crawl off the table during mine.  Surprise

    Glad the tubes are clear!

On a totally unrelated note, I love the pic in your siggy.  To quote 30 Rock - I want to go to there.

  • Ouch. Sorry to hear that.

I guess everyone must be different. I have had 2 and with both I had a tiny cramp but that was about it.

    Super happy about the tubes!

  • Seriously, I thought the HSG was the worst pain I ever felt, even if it only lasted for a couple minutes!  Everyone is different I guess.

    Good news on the tubes!

  • Everyone mst be different or the MD must be different. I felt less than a pap test...I couldn't believe it...

Maybe I have a high tolerance for pain..

Oh, I think the ttc gods will give us painful labor to make up for the HSG :)

  • I'm sorry your test was so painful! I'm glad you got news about the tubes being clear, though. And that you don't have to go through the hsg test again!
