Need advice

I posted this on 1st tri but wanted to post here too...

I was just wondering how many of your husbands had an abnormal SA?? My husband went last tuesday and the drs office wouldnt give any results over the phone and I asked if they could just tell me if something was wrong because we couldn't get an appt for another week, they got a hold of the dr and I was told they were "abnormal" so now I am just a nervous wreck for monday to finally figure out what is wrong. my poor husband, he hasn't been right since they told us that.

so i guess im just wondering (although i dont know exactly what is wrong) how many of you still got pg with abnormal results? i guess im just looking for a little reassurance it can still happen :( thank you so much. i really appreciate any advice.

  • After I went off bc my periods went crazy and I had to do a bunch of tests. After a year DH had to do a SA. When they called they wouldn't give us any info over the phone of the results either. They just said we needed to see an Urologist. We were all worried. Turned out they just send the results to the urologist to go over with us. Hopefully its something the same with you.

  • I'm guessing SA is sperm assessment?  If so, my DH had this done, and motility, abnormalties, counts, were on the very low side of normal.  The good news is that there are many things that can affect sperm, and it changes over time, so 3 months later, the assessment can look completely different.  The urologist suggested my DH take vitamins to help, and we didn't have any trouble getting pg due to his guys.
