Cancelled our movie rental plan.

::le sigh::

I am a movie buff.  Ok, I WAS a movie buff.  I worked for BBV for 2 years and got 5 free rentals a weeks ... and USED them too.  Since I left BBV, we've had a BBV mail plan of 3 DVDs at a time ... and we used it a lot too ... until Jack arrived.

DH has been nagging at me to cancel it ... and I finally did the other day.  We hadn't used it in MONTHS.  The DVDs had just been sitting in our living room, not being watched (because honestly, when do I have time to sit down and watch a WHOLE movie?).  When we DO get a chance to watch something, we just get something off of PPV or HBO.

I know I should be glad because this frees up extra $ every month ... but it also kinda makes me feel like we've given up with that 'other' life we used to have.

::le sigh::

  • I love Redbox, it's on the corner and only a dollar :o)  I've been missing some of the old days too (like laying out?  HA!  No wonder i glow in the dark, lol)
  • Loading the player...
  • we watch alot of movies and series from netflix.  After Addy is in bed of course.  I have to check out redbox...I've heard about it.

  • We cancelled our BBO account for the same reason! Redbox is great though (and far cheaper) than keeping and rarely using your BBO service.
  • On the rare occasion that we do rent a movie, we are PPV peeps all the way.
    Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • I feel ya...

    We have shows that we like to watch together and the TiVo is so backed up it is not even funny.

    We still have not watched the last two episodes of Heros, and we are a month behind on The Closer :/

  • I cancelled Netflix because we love PPV and we ended up getting a Showtime package that was less - we got 45 more channels and end up watching a whole lot of different things (DH was watching the original "Planet of the Apes" when we got home yesterday).  Netflix was neat, but we hardly watched the movies and to me that's just not worth it.  It was great when we would watch movies every night, but now?  Most of the time I'm in bed by 9:00 and out by 9:15, hee.  :)
