HCG levels

Okay, so I just got a call from my OB's office confirming my pregnancy. They said my HCG levels are low, but probably because I'm early in my pregnancy, so they are having me come in tomorrow for more blood work. Has this ever happened to anyone? They did schedule my first prenatal appt on August 9th @ 1:15.

yup.. That happend to me.. the only difference was that i was leaving on vacation so instead of doing in blood work two days later i had to do it 1 week and 3 days later.. Good luck!! Everything will turn out great.. Think positive..

Yes. They  just want to make sure your numbers are doubling appropriately. Check betabase.info for more about hcg numbers.

Yeah, the first blood test, the levels were low, so two days later, I went for another one to see if they had doubled, and they had more than doubled. I think this is pretty normal. GL!

My first levels were also very low but the second one was sufficiently high enough to make my CNM very happy with the results. (see below in my signature). Good luck!

Betas are taken once and then again in 48 hours to make sure the levels are doubling. I agree with pp- check betabase.com for more info.
