Double Strollers

Does anyone have recommendations on great double strollers/carseats for twins?  I am looking for one that can be used at infant stage and they will grow with it.  Thanks!

we got ours from sears. i am too lazy to look it up-- it has a little bit of green and has matching car seats. they are made by graco. i had them recommended by another mommy of twins. i have yet to use mine though! they are still in the NICU!

It really depends on what you are looking for in a stroller.  Do you want it to just run errrands or walks around the neighborhood or running? 

The Bob is my favorite but there are other great ones out there.  You might want to think about getting a double snap n go for the beginning while you look/reserarch which kind you really want and you can save the $ for a really wonderful one.

What are you looking for? budget?

I loved my snap n go when they were in their infant seats, so lightweight and easy to fold.  Then I upgraded to a kolcraft tandem, combi twin for a lightweight errand stroller and a valco for walks/zoo/etc.  Kolcraft is about $200, combi is $250 and the valco usually run $700.

if you want a tandem - I'm really loving my Kolcraft Contours.

You can use it as a DSNG with the seats removed... and can also use with the seats from day 1 (because they fully recline).  It drives really smooth like an expensive stroller- and has tons of options.... plus, you don't need to buy a separate DSNG.  The DSNG and the Contours are the same size- though the contours frame is heavier... but they do the same thing- and the contours drives a lot nicer than the DSNG (i have both b/c someone gave me a DSNG they were done with... I used it twice and now just keep the contours in the car b/c it drives so much nicer- even though it's heavier).

I also have a Valco Trimode twin - got on craigslist. Have not used it yet- but still love it

I 2nd Goldie.  I love my Kolcraft Contours.  I considered also getting a DSNG because I was really weak right after I had them, but I'm glad I didn't.  The Contour does the same thing (I got the Plus so it came with 2 infant adapters) and it drives great.  It's big and heavy, but what double stroller isn't? We also have a City Mini Double we've used a handful of times and I like it also, but the storage is impossible to access if you have the seats all the way down.  And in the spirit of overkill, we also have 2 single snap n gos.  My DH thought I was crazy, but they've been so great when we're all out together.  We just each push one instead of having to maneuver the big bus.  They're great for going to restaurants.  We'll probably get a lightweight double umbrella stroller soon, but I"m trying my hardest to control my stroller obsession!

yeah the kolcraft tandem does the same thing as the double snap n go.  I bought ours from BRU and they gave us the second infant seat adapter for free, not typical but it was nice.
