Ever feel like picking up and moving?

I am itching to get out of SoCal. ?Not that it's not a nice place; it really is. ?I'm just over it. ?I want to go back East. ?Lately I've been obsessed with the idea of moving to where my SIL lives so Ethan and his cousin(s) can grow up together. ?

I think this move so far away from family has made me realize how important they are. ??

  • everyday.

    EVERY EVERY DAY.

I want to move so badly- I hate it here! The COL is high, the schools are bad, it is too not my kind of place...

  • I lived like a nomad for a long time.  I've been where I am now for 5 years and I'm dying to move.  This time, however, the benefit of moving is what you're saying - family nearby.  Unfortunately, DH is not on board.

  • Every day.  Everyone around me thinks it's so "cool" that I live in NYC and I'm just so not a city person.  Everything about living here is just harder and more expensive than in the suburbs and I can't wait until DH finishes school and we can leave!

  • Every time MIL shows up unannounced in my living room.
  • I miss living far away from family. Ah, the freedom!
  • Every single day.  We want to move so bad.  It's just ridiculous with the economy right now.
  • Well, aside from the actual moving, yep! And we often do. LOL.

Honestly, I don't miss SoCal. I miss you and Susie and my other friends, but I honestly don't miss anything else.

  • Yep!  We're pretty much stuck in NoVA forever because of DH's career, but I would love to move farther north to be closer to family (well, if I had my pick, we'd move to Boston, which would still be 6 hours away from family, but it IS closer...), or else go back to Florida.

I love where we live, but definitely get the itch to be somewhere else.

  • Days like today, with a high of 116, make me so disappointed that we literally cannot.go.outside. So, to answer your question, yes.
  • Yes. We are lucky in the sense that MH can pretty much find a job anywhere, so I think at some point we will up and move. ?

I actually love living in AZ.  Before living here though we lived in Texas and I could not wait to get the heck out of there.  DH and I have talked about moving to SoCal someday but everyone we talk to say it's nice but the high COL isn't worth it.

  • ALL THE TIME!  The only probably is that there are no jobs for DH or I in the area I would like to go to.  There are jobs near my ILs but I would rather die than live that close to them:)
  • problem not probably

damn I need to just go to bed

  • EVERY DAY!
