Bordeaux's Butt Paste question

What color is it supposed to be?

I bought a tube at the grocery store and am suprised that it is brown.   I was expecting it to be white, and I don't want to use it until I know it's the right color!

Lol, I thought the same thing when I first used it.  I mean, all other diaper rash ointments are white, right?  Butt Paste has a pretty gross looking color IMO, but that's what it's supposed to look like so you are fine to use it.

Ditto - I think we've all had that same first impression. But it's supposed to look like very thick unattractive foundation!

It reminds me of the color of cement.

Thanks, ladies.  I thought with that much Zinc Oxide in it, it would just have to be white!
