I hate being on a budget, it sucks. I really want to get a pedicure & highlights (just got my hair cut), but it's not in the new budget   We've always been on a budget but just really reigned in the leashes, so to speak, since I haven't gotten a job. 

If only I would get a job, I could do those things.  Ughhh

I am terrible about budgeting. I pay my bills immediately after we get paid and usually really far before they are due. Otherwise we'd be in trouble. I really need to keep my purse zipped.

I hear ya!!!

 I'm trying not to spend since I don't currently have a job either.  But with buying a new house & being bored all day, it's really hard!  I walked around the Galleria yesterday for like 4 hours and didn't buy a thing (that doesn't mean I didn't have things in my hand a few times)!   I told DH he should be really proud of me.  I wouldn't consider myself a spender, but when I feel like buying something, I usually do (I'm talking things under $50, nothing huge) and I'm really trying hard not to.

Most of our bills are paid automatically so I am not late paying them!!

I have been staying away from the mall etc so I don't buy anything!

It gets hard sometimes, especially when you see something you really want to buy, but can't justify a need for it. I try to resist temptation but sometimes I slip. Mine isn't so much doing thjings for me, but stopping myself from buying stuff for Sheri (this is my weak spot), or Sasha (when I'm at Petsmart) or DH (when it's something I know he'd love). DH thinks I should do more stuff for me (shopping, hair, etc.) but I really don't feel justified going all out for me, especially when I'm not working.

DH and I had to have the budget talk and that was one of the reasons we decided to move. ?DH handles all the $ and is a huge saver, and well... Im not ?Stuff is just so stinking expensive here. ?I can't wait to move.

I can relate to both of you! I love to shop for Aubrey, hardly ever spend money on myself. But, I really am trying to not buy things we don't need.

We lived in San Francisco for 3 years, before moving here. It definitely is much more budget friendly here! However, now we are moving back to Denver, & it is more expensive than here, not like Cali but still.
