When to BD after trigger shot?

So I got a trigger shot yesterday at 5pm, and the dr said I should O around 36 hrs later, so to BD last night and then Fri mornin at like 4 or 5am...

Does that sound right?  I keep thinking we should try tonight just in case I O earlier than they expected...

I would say if you did last night (wed) then I would again today (thurs) & wouldn't hurt Friday if you wanted too. I did my trigger on a thurs morning & we had sex thurs night & wasn't able Fri & Sat but we did 4am on Sun & I got pregnant. Sperm does live for 3 days but slows down each day. GL to you!

It sounds fine. If you had sex last night, some sperm are still hanging around and will pick up the slack if you don't have sex again until tomorrow morning.

If your DH has MFI issues, you can try again tonight, but don't stress if it doesn't happen.

for our TI cycles, we were always told 24 and 48 hours after the trigger shot.

I was told to abstain the night of the trigger shot, but definitely 24 hours later and then again 12 hours later (36 hours after trigger).

I would say each day.  I triggered Monday and did Monday night, couldn't do Tuesday and did Wednesday night.  And probably tonight just to be sure although my u/s at 1pm yesterday showed I had O'd already so tonight probably wouldn't amke a difference!

The time we conceived, I did my trigger on Sunday night at 10 PM - I bd Thursday night, Friday night, Sunday night, Monday night. (this was our first round on clomid so I had no idea if I would ovulate early so I was just covering my bases since my folly scan was on cd13).

 

This time with femara I triggered Sunday at 7 pm...we bd Friday night (again to be sure since our follie scan was Saturday and I didn't know if I would ovulate early), Saturday night, Sunday night, Monday night and Tuesday night. I should have ovulated Tuesday morning so the Tuesday PM bd was probably overkill...

At DH's SA last year, he had really good counts so that is why we do it every 24 hours. I also tend to do it the night of the trigger and then again about 28-30 hours after trigger. I know they say the IUI is at 36 hours post trigger but I figure with BD the sperm have a longer ways to go so I give them a little extra time - plus we are too lazy to bd in the morning unless we have to.....:P
