The D & C occurred yesterday morning. I think the apprehension was far worse than the procedure. Of course, I remember everything before the D & C very clearly and have no recollection of anything after lying on the operating table. Thank goodness for good drugs. I came home and slept until 2:30, then watched TV and ate. No pain or cramping so far, but I keep taking some of the meds they gave me just in case (not taking the vicodin, though). The RE said after my hcg levels drop down to negative, then he'll put me on birth control for three weeks. After that period, we're good to start trying again. It make take two or three weeks for my levels to drop, and I am so sick of getting stuck with needles! But the good news is that I don't have to wait two or three months before we can try again. It wasn't the awful procedure I thought it would be!

Re: D & C is over
I know it wasn't easy, but I'm so glad it wasn't as bad as you feared.
And I'm happy you'll get to start trying again fairly soon. That's really good news.
I'm glad everything went well. I had a D&C in May, and I also had a good experience. We had to wait one cycle as well before we could try again. I think the waiting was the hardest part. But had my period about 5 weeks later and am back in the saddle again.
So just keep your chin up. You'll still have moments of sadness, but it gets better.
Lizzy I am glad the procedure wasn't as bad as you thought it would be. I hoep you feel better soon, and glad you don't have to wait too long to try again.
((((hugs))))
