My assistant kitchen manager's mom was in a motor bike accident last night. She was seriously injured. He insisted on working tonight to take his mind off it. He just got the call - she just died.

I adore him and his family, so this truly breaks my heart.. I've known him for 8 years. His wife watches my son while I'm at work. He has 3 brothers and 4 sisters. 2 of his brothers also work for me. 2 of his sisters' husbands also work for me. They are the backbone of my restaurant and we're all like family. Their family is devastated, obviously. Please keep them in your prayers.

And, no, the MNO is still a go. (even if I have to get back there and cook myself....actually, I've already called one of our other stores to borrow kitchen staff if need be.) We will have a great time, I promise.
