Not only was her husband just killed but then it was done by his girlfriend.  The girlfriend that the media is saying his wife knew nothing about.  I would be so distraught is something happened to DH but I don't know what I would do if I found out he was living a double life.  Probably throw up and cry a lot.

It's so awful! Plus he has 3 kids that are old enough to understand yet are not adults yet. I can't imagine how much this will mess them up.

I feel sorry for her too.  It is not true that "a woman always knows".  It has got to be devastating to deal with the death of your husband and his betrayal at the same time let alone in such a public way.

I didn't know his wife wasn't aware of the mistress.  I read somewhere that the girlfriend drove a Cadillac that was registered in her and Steve McNair's name.  If true, he wasn't trying very hard to hide it.

I'm pretty sure if I learned DH had a mistress at the same time I heard he was dead, I would have a very hard time mourning him, at least at first.  I can't imagine having to deal with going through the motions of the funeral arrangements and not badmouthing him in front my kids while trying to cope with that news.

Oh, I'm sure she knew. Someone of his stature ... that's hard to hide. She may not have wanted to believe it but I doubt she was altogether clueless.
