pssa: wegmans helping hands

Just thought I would point out this great service at wegmans in case you didn't know about it. I had always seen the sign but didn't know what it was.  when you are done paying they will take your cart to the designated area and you just drive up and they load your grocieries.  This is great for when you have the baby with you.  i am always concerned about returning the cart and leaving ds in the car.

Do people tip for this service?

therere is a sign saying no tips or they aren't allowed to accept tips.

That's really cool. Unfortunately, we'll never have a Wegmans around here I park as close as I can to the cart return, load my groceries into my car, return the cart, get ds out of cart and walk back to my car. The Wegmans way sounds so much easier.

I used the service once when I was about 8 months pregnant with my son.  The guy looked at me a little funny because I bought a case of beer and lots of chips and doritos.  I just didn't want to have to lift the beer out of the cart.

I love Wegmans, I can't imagine living somewhere they don't have one, lol.
