Anyone mix formulas?

I having a really hard time finding one formula that agrees with DD2.  Either they constipate her, or she vomits all the time.

I like the Kirkland brand best so far, and she seems to like it, but she never poops without juice or prunes.  For some reason, this just doesn't seem healthy to me.  I just tried out the Target Gentlease, but now she's spitting up like crazy.  Pooping on her own, but spitting up again.

I was wondering if anyone here mixed two formulas to get the right blend?  Sounds weird, but I'm thinking I may need to do this.  I think we've tried almost every formula out there.

  • I debated it b/c Maren spit up like crazy on gentlease.  I switched her to Goodstart and that is a little better.  I am putting something in her bottles called Thick it, which makes the formula a little thicker.  It seems to be helping.  Her pedi ok'ed it.

I did Goodstart at the beginning because that's what I used with Ash.  She liked it okay, but like Maren, spit up all the time on it.  Hmmm.  Maybe I should call the pedi on this Thick It.  Where do you find it?

  • Walgreens or CVS, by the pediasure
  • My LO has a simple form of Reflux.  We tried all of the formulas until we found the best one for her.  AND we put her on foods at 4 months.

And we always have either prunes or pears with her morning oatmeal.  This is to help her move.  She is not the worse for wear.

  • I have a friend who does this with their ds, for the same reasons you stated. I am not sure what she mixes but its two diff kinds formulas.
