Re: so if i'm 18 weeks pregnant, how many months am i?
This is how I measure:
LMP: 3/8
1 month: 4/8, 2 months: 5/8, 3 months: 6/8, 4 months: 7/8, and so on. I'm 17w3d so I'm exactly 4 months.
you are in the middle of your fifth month. you have completed four and a half months (counting from "week one"), and when you hit 20 weeks, you will have completed 5 months.
think of it similar to babies' ages. if you have an 18 week old, you would say they are four and a half months.
This made me laugh.
I feel your pain.
this says i'm 4 months

This is what I use;

It makes the most sense to me

Check this website out.
I use this:
First Trimester
One Month - 1-4 weeks - Complete!
Two Months- 5-8 weeks - Complete!
Three Months- 9-13 weeks - Complete!
Second Trimester
Four Months- 14-17 weeks - in progress...
Five Months- 18-21weeks -
Six Months- 22-26 weeks -
Third Trimester
Seven Months- 27-30 weeks -
Eight Months- 31-35 weeks -
Nine Months- 36- 40 weeks
There are more than 28 days in every month (except February), which means there are more than 4 weeks in every month.
You are technically IN your fifth month, but you are NOT five months pregnant. When you're in week 3, for example, you don't say you're one month pregnant since you haven't completed that first month. Same goes for now. You haven't completed your fifth month, you're still 4 months and some weeks pregnant.
Just went to this one and it does make sense-thanks! I have also been confused...
You are 4.5 months, but in your 5th month because you've already completed the first 4. Does that make sense? I'm 26 weeks, so that's 6.5 months, but I'm in my 7th month because I've completed 6 already.
16 weeks=4 months, so anything over 4, even one week, would constitute being in your 5 month.
I hope any of that can straighten it out for you.
u are RIGHT.
your're 4.5 months pregnant.
We are all pregnant for 10 months. 40 weeks. (4 weeks a month).
I just want to let you know that I?m showing this post to my husband tonight b/c he makes fun of me for being confused on this exact issue. This will prove that I?m not the only one that struggles w/ knowing what month I?m in. Thank you!! J
There are more than 4 weeks in a month. This month (July) has 4 1/2 weeks. June had 4 1/3 weeks. August has 4 1/2 months.
The only month that has exactly 4 weeks is February (except leap year).
There are 52 weeks in a year, 12 months in a year, which means that on average, every month has 4.33 weeks, NOT 4.
