OB/GYN Rec in NW Frisco & Question on C-Section

I am new to this board and I have a couple of questions after reading through some posts below.

My husband and I are thinking about TTC 9-12 months from now.  I currently have an OB/GYN in Plano who I absolutely love, but we are in the process of moving to NW Frisco (Eldorado & Legacy area), and I would like a doctor that is closer by.  As of now (and obviously things can change over the next year or so), I am wanting a scheduled c-section.  But from what I understand, there are some doctors or hospitals that won't schedule a c-section, and they only resort to them in emergencies.

So my question is, does anyone know of a good (female, BTW) doctor in NW Frisco that is open to the idea of me wanting to have a scheduled c-section?

Thank you!

Re: OB/GYN Rec in NW Frisco & Question on C-Section

  • go to www.frisco-online.com and search OB/GYN and they will have lots of recs for the Frisco area.

Why do you want a scheduled c-section?  A c-section is a major surgery and not something I would think a doctor would just let you do without a reason.  I had a c-section, but it was for medical reasons, and it was not a ton of fun to heal up from.

  • I scheduled my c/s, and my recovery was fine. My OB is very supportive of scheduled c/s as she is working mom and understands the need to plan for work/return to work. etc.  She delivers at Baylor Frisco and Presby Plano.

I delivered at Baylor Frisco, and it was great experience.

    Hope that helps!

She is on Parkwood in Frisco just north of Warren Parkway.
