Might be sick -- have to go in for more mammogram testing

I feel like I might vomit.  Had my first mammogram on Monday and they just called because there is an area that looks suspicious and they want to get more pictures of it tomorrow.  My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer 6 months ago, which is what prompted me to go in for my first mammogram at age 32.  I just feel so sick right now.

Stay strong. It could be nothing . Or just a calcium deposit. My mom has had many of those. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

I have had a few friends that for one reason or another had an early mammogram and then ended up needing further testing. ?Just like anything in the medical world they would rather be on the safe side. ?Maybe you have a cyst or something else minor. ?Please try not to stress yourself too much. I will keep you in my thoughts and please keep us posted.?

Oh Lord, I can't even begin to imagine what you are feeling right now. I truly am hoping for the best and like the others stated, it might just be nothing.

(((Hugs))).  I know it's scary because I had a suspicious area and it turned out to be just a "ridge of tissue".

I had my first mammogram at 30 (also due to family history), and had to go in for a follow-up.  It was super scary, but very, very common.  Because they don't have a baseline on you, they are very cautious with any suspicious areas, so they will go back in and "press out" anything that's not clear.  The other good news is that you get answers back really quickly.
