Says the hostess at the nice restaurant last night...
So she brings me a booster seat. Which is essentially a useless chunk of hard plastic with NO straps. ?? HOW am I supposed to get my toddler to sit quietly in a booster without any device to strap her in?? The idea is to make the mobile child immobile so mommy can at least eat a piece of lettuce or something.
I was laughing my a$$ off that this restaurant would think that toddlers are civilized enough to eat quietly in their booster chairs with little disruption. We need straps...or I need to become an octopus with eight hands.
Meanwhile, my kid is throwing blackbeans and rice at Daddy whilst trying to get one leg on top of the table and then squirming and falling OUT of the booster so she can slide down the booth and run down the aisles screaming like a banshee. I wish I was exaggerating.
I hope our leash arrives today.

LMAO!!
We went out to dinner on Saturday and DH put A in the highchair. I swear I turned my head for a split second and she was facing the other direction about to crawl out.
DH hadn't strapped her in
OH the food and service were EXCELLENT...but yeah...no highchairs. Cantina Laredo. I highly recommend it for date night sans toddler.
I ended up tipping like 25% because of the tornado of a mess that my child left. Sigh.
I'm starting to understand why some nice restaurants hate babies. LOL.
Oh my....
Ditto Totty what resturant is this I want to stay far, far away... I can only imagine the kind of terror Keanan would cause with food everywhere, pulling things off the table.
Oh dear. I am not looking forward to that stage...
T loves to play with her backpack and leash (birthday present). It looks just like all her other puppies and she carries it everywhere.
Yeah, I like CL a lot, they're owned by El Chico I think ... there are a couple of them over in our area. I can't believe they're so baby-unfriendly though ... that sucks.

I don't hate babies. I hate stupid parents.
As for the HC thing.....WTH? That's about the dumbest thing I've heard today.
I really wanted to stay, but it was too busy for us. So we went next door and I had a glass of wine and K had a bottle. I can't get over how adorable Miss Addy is every time I see her.
I hate when I have to go through 5 grocery carts before I can find one with straps that work.
Yeah I have noticed that, we always have to get a second HC because the first only has one strap on it. One time we straped him in but the clamps did not stay and he almost climbed out of the damn chair.
Lately the only thing that saves us when we go out is he love to eat, but God help us if we run out of snacks until the food get there.
Ok...so I've been thinking about this HC thing (because it's driving me crazy
0.....this is the only logical conclusion I can think of....
You guys were sitting in a booth. Maybe she meant that they couldn't put a high chair at the end of the booth because it would block the aisle and that would be a fire code violation.
This is probably the reason.. we went to La Hacienda Ranch on Sunday and they told us we couldn't have a highchair at the booth for this exact reason. BUT.. I would think they would offer you the option to wait for a table!
We have the FP Booster Seat & I really like it. It folds up for carrying & is super convenient for restaurants & traveling to someone else's house. I don't have to worry about whether there's a functioning high chair or what kind of germs it may contain. I also like that it has a tray to keep him from grabbing things off the table, putting his mouth on the table, etc.

it IS the reason. its been that way at every restaurant i've worked at. some will just let it go once in a while, but you can't have a high chair in the aisle. it sucks. but its true. too bad they didnt tell you that.
