When did you feel both babies move the 1st time?

I am starting to feel my left side move but not the right.  So I had a stomach bug all day Sunday...sorry if its TMI...but I vomited 14 times in 8 hours.  Miserable and it wasn't m/s.  Anyway ever since then I have been feeling flutters and a little movement on my left side but nothing on the right.  Or could both of them be moving but I'm only feeling it on one side?  I was just worried after being so sick that the babies would be affected.

  • For the most part, I feel movement on the left side or in the middle.  I think this past Sunday was the first time I ever felt anything distinctly on my right side.  Of course at first baby A was head down on the left side and B was laying across the top.  Now B is head down as well (or at least was at the last u/s), so maybe when her position changed I was able to feel her more.

  • Maybe one of them has an anterior placenta which will block a lot of movement (I had one with DS and RARELY ever felt anything).

  • I first felt them at 14 weeks, but I don't know which one was which at that point. I started to be able to tell the difference between them at about 22-23 weeks.

  • I wasn't sure what I was feeling was the babies until 21 weeks, and then I felt them mostly on my middle/right...It could definetly be both babies you are feeling!
  • I felt one baby at 14 weeks, one at 16 weeks. Like pp said, the baby I felt later had an anterior placenta.

  • Thank you for this post!  I had the same questions, too.  I'm so glad to read about others having the same experiences.
