My c-section is scheduled for Monday, the 13th and my husband has requested that I not go into labor on my own before Saturday at the earliest According to him,(and his apparently vast knowledge of obstetrics?), if you can naturally induce labor by vigorous sex, walking, castor oil, etc., you should also be able to halt the onset of labor by "taking it easy". I've sent the memo to my uterus and Callie, but I'm thinking it will be ignored by both.
I had Ben at 38w1d and Emily at 38w2d. Looky at my ticker.... I've been having real contractions all day, but none have been timeable. I've started losing my MP(blech) and I'm starting to feel the nesting urge. We shall see! I hope I make it to my scheduled c-section on Monday, so please send me "no-labor" dust
Re: How to NOT go into labor?
Lol at your post, esp your memo and Dr. Dan's comments.
::sprinkles no-labor dust everywhere::
wow that went quicckly!!! good luck!
unlabor dust to you. ( but not enough to make you go a month late!)
Hey, weren't you asking about VBACs a couple of months ago and joking that maybe you'd just labor at home for a while? ?:) ?In that case, you'd want to go into labor before your c/s!
I thought for sure I'd go into labor with Thomas by my due date, since I did with the first two. ?I was all prepared to have a VBAC, and my OB was willing to wait a few more days at least. ?I got impatient and just scheduled the repeat c/s for my due date. ?After months of contractions, there was nothing going on that day. ?Hope the same happens for you!
Well that's great! I guess it's a bit hotter here in Vegas, eh? I was pg through the summer here and I was miserable! I can see why you'd be enjoying every last minute though. It's so amazing to be pregnant... Aubrey came early and I didn't expect that so when she was a couple of days old I started balling my eyes out because I wasn't ever going to feel her kick again. So, I feel ya but I am so excited to see little Callie and hear stories of how B & E are with her.
