2.5 months - but I have an amazingly strong child. She held her head up at 2 hours old, lol.
We liked it alot, she just recently started busting the tray off and getting out of it so we are packing it up. Sad I used it alot to keep her entertained so I could shower.
I love all of Sophia's hair. She's gorgeous! We have one but we just use it every once in a while to sit Sophie up for pics. I'm sure we'll get a lot of use of it once she's eating cereal and solids though.
I tried to use it as soon as she could hold her head up all the way until she could crawl and wiggle around. Emphasis on the word TRIED. She hated it. Big waste of money for us. But then again, DD has never liked to sit still.
If you really wanted to get one, get it second hand. I hated wasting almost $40 on something she wouldn't sit in.
I started around 3 months. DD loved it, she was able to sit up straight and able to see more. She used it until 6 months, she figured out how to arch her back and basically stand up in it. I would buy one on craigslist, it's not worth $40.
DS hates being in it for long periods of time. We only use it when we feed DS rice cereal. ok, after typing that, I'm wondering why we aren't using his high chair.

LOL Yeah the highchair is pretty much the only place she sits still!
DS loved his bumbo. We started using it around 3 months and we actually still use it. It stays on our kitchen counter and he will sit in it while I do the dishes and sometimes I will feed him in (don't worry he is never left alone). His legs are getting a little too chunky for it so we may actually have to retire it soon.
i think we started using it when she was around 4 or 5 months - we used it until she could climb out of it by herself! we also used it as a high chair when we first started feeding her and then added the tray when she started feeding herself - totally loved it and was sad when we had to put it away
Hey Christi! (it's Samantha trying to keep stalkers down to a minimum with the new screen name these days haha...
C started using it at about 5 months, we also used it when he started solids because it supported him better than a high chair. Around 7 months we started the high chair and pushed the bumbo to the side. Around 12 months he figured out how to sit in it by himself (on the floor of course) and he's been playing with it ever since. He'll get a book and sit in it, it's hilarious. He fits in it better now than at 5 months because his legs were so fat then. Get one. Definitely worth it.
I agree w/ pp to buy it used. We got our bebepod off Craigslist and I'm glad I didn't get it new! We didn't use it that much because DD wasn't too fond of it. She would only stay in it for a short time and she's able to tip it over now.
