OK, so I'm sick of Michael Jackson. I really liked Sarah during the campaign, but lost a lot of respect for her resigning early. I think she should at least fulfil her obligation to the voters even if she's not running again. (random post I know)
I completely agree. I honestly have not read anything about it yet, but only know what my (very conservative) family was saying about it this past weekend. They were saying that the main reason was to protect her son from being slammed again, but I honestly have a hard time believing that is entirely true, especially when there's speculation that she'll be running for president in 3 years. Of course, it is very likely that my family was just saying that, since it's been known to happen.
What is the reasoning she's giving? I think it's not showing great leadership to step down like that without a really good reason (but maybe she has one).
I'm curious to find out what she thinks is a higher calling than fulfilling an obligation to those who elected her. This was a reaaly bad move, if she ever intends to run for another office. I certainly wouldn't vote for her, and I'm exactly the voter base/demographic she needs. She really messed up.
I don't like her, and think she is copping out. People supported her and elected her and she's just walking away because presumably things go uncomfortable for her. I don't think she can handle the pressure of a national office.
I think she is going to "write" a book (probably won't do much writing herself) and may run for the Senate seat opening up in Alaska.
I think resigning is a very stupid political move.
I think she did what was best for HER FAMILY. Not necessarily for her or her political career. I give her props for that. Do you know how much money they have had to spend defending themselves against ridiculous law suits?!? Unlike Jon & Kate+8, she did what is best for her family & wasn't worried about remaining in the limelight.
Re: a little late, but any Sarah Palin talk?

Hubbis Hubbis.
The above makes more sense than her press conference did.

Snort.
Christmas 2011
She is an idiot - total idiot IMO. (and I am a Republican)
Good riddance in terms of politics.
