I know there's a couple of you on here, so I thought this would be the best place to ask -
Are their any items that you couldn't have lived without the first few months home with your twins? I can think of lots of things that I really appreciated when I had a newborn - but I had just one. Having two must be 100 times harder, and I'm wondering if there were things you might have needed/used more than I would have. Like, I loved my Boppy, but maybe it wouldn't have come in as handy if you were trying to nurse two babies? I don't know.
A friend is having twins and her shower is later this month. I'll get something off her registry, but wanted a little helpful direction first. TIA.
Re: Moms of twins
I could not live without their bouncy/vibrating chairs - they were like an extra set of hands. we still use them every single day. I can feed both of them at the same time (see attached) We bring them outside on our deck - we even brought them to the beach this past weekend.
I used their boppies everyday until a few weeks ago so I think 2 boppies would be a must have. If she is planning on nursng then I heard the EZ2nurse pillow is a good one. We attempted but are strictly formula feeders - if that is the case for her then another must have item is a ton of bottles. I have 20 bottles that I wash and fill everyday - if I had less then I would have to wash/fill more then once a day.
I hope that helps! :-)
Agree on the bouncy chairs - I had two upstairs and two downstairs! I always needed a place to "park" them and the bouncy chairs were a god send. Boppies were great for bottle feeding as well as nursing. I would prop them in the boppies so I could bottle feed both at the same time.
I also had two bottle warmers - one in the kitchen and one in their bedroom for those middle of the night feedings. Also agree on the multiple bottles (if she ends up going that route). I bought a formula pitcher at BRU so I could mix 32 oz of formula at a time (I had to mix two batches to get the 48oz I needed). I would pre-fill sixteen bottles for the day because I had ZERO time to mix formula as I went along.
I had the EZ to Nurse pillow but didn't find it helpful when they were really little. I switched to FF before they were big enough for the pillow to work well for me.
I never had enough cloth diapers for burping and laying on activity mats to catch spit up. I'm also a big plain white onesie freak but that might have just been me.
My twins are 5! My baby is 3!

I agree with the above responses. In addition, while not a "cool" item, she will be going through diapers, diapers, diapers!!! Not sure if she is cloth diapering or using disposables but that might might also be a good option for you to purchase.
Other ideas a little off the registry could be preparing frozen meals that she can easily pull out and heat up, gift cards to local restaurants where they can easily pick up food or places that deliver, offering help with the twins (if she doesn't already have help) whenever you have some free time.
Everything I mentioned I would have LOVED to have when my twins were newborns. Especially the food and help...I practically starved myself because I did not have time to cook and was too sleep deprived to do much of anything in those early days!
I have no idea what I would have done without our boppy's. They were really convenient when it came to feeding them both. I could put them in their boppy's and hold their bottles. The bouncy seat was nice for the first two months then they no longer liked them.
