The only con we found with the orbit (and it's a huge con!) is the price. It was going to be like $2000 to get all the various things you would want for it (including the bassinet and the toddler carseat and stroller seat). I think that's a crazy amount of money - but if someone has it and wants to pay that for a stroller, it's a good one.
ORBIT!!! I have had it and been using it for the last 15 months and am in love, could not live without it. We're onto the toddler car seat and stroller attachment, but will break out the infant seat with #2. It's awesome.?
I have the Bugaboo Cameleon and love it. ?I never really considered any other stroller but another mom I know has the Orbit and likes it alot except that I think you need both hands to drive it. ?That wouldn't work for me (I'm always drinking a Diet Coke or talking on my cell phone when strolling) but it didn't bother my mom friend. ?
I have the Bugaboo Cameleon and LOVE it. I tried the Orbit when I was looking and didn't care for it, but it was a very limited experience. I pushed it around the store...I really wanted the bugaboo and have zero regrets.
It is SO easy to manuever with one hand which is more important than you may realize:O) I also love the color options you can get with the Bug...
I have the Orbit and Love it!! It is expensive to get all the parts but every part is so worth it! Every single time I am out and about someone comments on this stroller! It really is convienient. The only con that I have is that the infant seat is pretty heavy, however I have never carried another infant seat. We are now using the todler seat with the stroller and the toddler carseat and both are great!
I have the bugaboo chameleon and love it. So easy to use and move around with just one hand. I also like being able to customize the color of my stroller. DS is always so happy riding around in his stroller.

I'm a little late, but we have an Orbit and love it. In my limited experience with bugaboo (testing it in the store), I didn't love it. We needed something that could fold easily as we often put it in the car, and bugaboos are not folding friendly, imo. The best feature about the Orbit, imo, is that it swivels. I can change DS's position quickly and w/o having to remove the seat.
In respose to a pp, you can steer easily with one hand. DH often walks on the side of it and steers with one hand. Not an issue at all. The infant seat is heavy, but worth the extra weight for us.
Just from looking at them in the store (I don't own either) I would go with the Orbit HANDS DOWN! That stroller is so totally sweet (...droooooooooool...). I love that the seat pops right off and into the car, there are different posistions, the toddler seat attachment is awesome, it has a rocker thingy. and it has tons of accesories (which cost tons of $$$ so if I could NOT afford all of the bells a whistles I would skip it).
If I was independantly wealthy I would have one - maybe two, haha.
But alas, woe is me... I have the Graco travel system, lol. A girl can dream though.
thank you all for your responses. they have already ordered the orbit and she is rethinking it so i will let her know what you said and hopefully that will help her decide!

Re: bugaboo vs. orbit stroller
Orbit hands down... I own the Bugaboo Bee and would never own any of the larger ones.
