OB Recommendation for delivery at Saint Joseph

Hi Ladies,

I just found out I am pregnant and need to change my ob to one that is closer to home.  I am new to OC and don't have any friends in the area who have recently delivered in OC.  I want to deliver at Saint Joseph in Orange.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I delivered my daughter at St. Joseph's with Dr. Fee.  Everything was fine with her but I just never felt like we clicked (and have actually switched to another OB for this pregnancy that delivers out of St. Jude).  In any case, I still think she's a good dr. so might be worth a try.  St. Joseph's was great!

I delivered with Dr. Anzaldo and the other doctor I was looking into was Dr. Akerman. They are both very good at what they do, personality may be lacking but they are good at what they do.

I'm currently seeing Dr. Linzey and everything has been great so far.  His office is right next to St. Joes.

I am with Dr Anzaldo. I am due in 9-27-09 so far he has been great. The girls in his office are super nice and he has been great. He returns calls personally. I love it. Plus his office is right across the walk way.

I work in L&D there and would agree with any of those docs. Hint: Fee is deaf in one ear, but she doesn't tell anyone. She is one of the nicest, most well-rounded people I know, and a great doc to boot. Try talking a bit louder, and more a little slower to connect more - I think she reads lips a bit

Akerman has a personality that goes with some and not others, but i know he cares deeply for his patients and tries to keep up with current practice.

p.s i promise I'm not here to stalk - I'm finally prego (only 8 weeks) with our first!

Dr Velez! he delivers at St Joseph he's awesome, makes you feel comfortable and gives you time for questions.

Dr. Donna Baick was mine, but my labor took so long (27 hours) I delivered with another Dr who was great too. Unfortunately I can't remember her name.

I had to see Dr Sheen a few times when Baick was on vacation, and he was pretty nice too. Dr Goldstein I refused to see after 1 visit. He did a check, and had me sobbing it was so painful. His bedside manner is blunt and not compassionate.

Dr. Fiorentino was my ob for my last and current pregnancy(City of Orange, office right next to St. Joe's). He's great and I really trust him! Plus, the office staff are always happy and always happy to answer any questions. I've seen Dr. Akerman once when I was sent to the hospital for HBP and he made me feel really confident about my situation.
