refusing to eat... teething??

All weekend DS has been refusing the bottle, he shakes his head side to side and cries after a couple of sucks.  He will however BF and eat his cereal. He is drooling excessively and jamming things into his mouth to chew on, I think he is teething.  Could the teething cause the refusing the bottle?

I am concerned because my care provider sent me a text and told me that he has only had a little bit of cereal and 4 oz, refuses to drink any more.

What do I do?

Re: refusing to eat... teething??

  • maybe? DS doesn't refuse to eat, but he keeps pulling off the bottle and chewing on it.  I know he's teething because I can see the white tip of the tooth sticking out.

  • My DS is doing the exact same thing! He acts like I'm touturing him. I don't BF and we haven't started solids yet. I have been giving him cold bottles from the fridge instead of room temp.  I can usually get the 1st 4 oz. in then we have to wait 10-15min. and have another go at it. I sure hope it's teething because if it's not I don't know what to do.
