Is it safe to give Tuna to my toddler?

My sister said she read somewhere that kids should not be given tuna fish untill they are 5 or 6 yrs old.     I was going to make some sandwhiches  but just wanted to ask if anybody knows about this or not.

It's probably because of the mercury.  DD has had tuna a couple times.  I wouldn't think it's any worse than having a little bit while you are pregnant... just not all the time.

FDA says it's fine for toddlers to have 2-3 ounces of canned tuna a couple of times a week.
