I have never seen anything like them (especially in our front yard). I think they are cranes. They stayed there what seemed like forever.

Wow! They are gorgeous! I have never seen birds like that. I'll have to look them up... maybe in the Heron group?

They look like sandhill cranes...I'm bit of a birder (nerd). Don't get to close though, they can be kind of mean.
