Sarah Elizabeth & William James were born on Saturday June 27th, a few days earlier than their scheduled delivery date of July 1st. My water broke at 11:15 am and by 2:05 pm they were both here. Sarah was born first and weighed 4lbs 15oz and was 18 1/2 inches. William was born 2 minutes later and weighed 5lbs 13oz and was 18 1/2 inches. My little twinnies are definitely fraternal. William looks like K.J. & Mommy and Sarah looks like Daddy. William had to spend a little over 24 hours in the NICU for "Wimpy White Boy Syndrome" because he was grunting a little as he was breathing (they originally thought he would be there for a week- but my tough little man did so well that after 24 hours he was out.) While William was in the NICU Sarah got the nickname "Squeaks" because she did a lot of screaming and squeaking, but as soon as William came up from the NICU she was very calm and quiet. She still is a little squeaky when she wants something.
KJ has adapted amazingly well. He was a little upset when he didn't get to meet his baby brother when he came to the hospital the first two days but as soon as he saw William he was just fine and then asking a ton of questions about Sarah. He can't wait to teach them to play baseball. He is a very helpful big brother so we are very lucky.
