Crib Mattress - What did you choose?

Hi Ladies,

Hope everyone had a nice 4th! Which mattress did you get for your baby's crib? Did you go with foam or coil? I'm still undecided!

Serta Perfect Night from BRU---also it is on sale this week. I beleive it is coil.

We went with the Colgate Classica II. It only weighs about 7 lbs since it is foam. It is very firm, plus is has square edges so it fits tighter in the crib. https://www.buybuybaby.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=15005777&RN=7141&

I went with the visca Colgate, it's foam, and has a toddler side and an infant side.

I also went with the Colgate Classica. Baby Bargains said the lighter weight of foam would be convenient for frequent sheet changes.

Ditto to the Colgate Classica Foam. Very lightweight and a top pick from Baby Bargains. Plus, much cheaper than coil. The baby will not ever weigh enough in the crib to really "need" a coil mattress IMHO.

we are going with the serta nightstar extra firm from target. it has inner spring coils, remember that we might like pillow top but i heard it could be bad for the baby since it is so soft. good luck!

Ditto the colgate classica foam. Thank God for baby bargains, because I would have had absolutely no idea what to get.

We put it in the crib yesterday, and it fits perfectly, but it is really firm. I know that is a good thing, but it's as hard as a rock. I wouldn't sleep on it, so I'm hoping that my little girl will be ok with it.
