How and with what to make reusable produce bags?

I saw in a blog that you can make those reusable produce bags from sheer curtains. I saw they are on sale this week for $4 at Target. Is that a good material to use or would it be cheaper/better to use something else from the fabric store?

Also, does anyone have directions? The blog I read only gave one reference and usually I like to look at a couple sets of instructions and figure it out on my own. Thanks!

I responded in your post above. I would not use curtain fabric. I made some from shree frabric (scrap from a vintage dress I updated) and it added money to weighing the produce and didn't breathe veryy well.  Tulle or mesh is best because it breathes and adds almost no weight. But, you can buy them pretty cheaply. For me--and I sew--shopping time + materials + designing them + sewing = just buying them from Etsy was a better choice.

Who did you buy them from?  I'm in the market as well and debating sewing vs buying.
