Pregnant after a Loss

Changing table pad question

We have set up our changing table.  It came with a pad, about an inch thick.  Do I need one of the fancier pads or is that one okay?

DH thinks the one the table came with is fine seeing as baby is only on there for a few moments for changes.

Did your changing table come with a pad? Are you getting a new one or just using the one it came with?

Thanks!

Re: Changing table pad question

  • We are using a dresser and just bought a separate pad to put on top of it.  I would think that would be fine.

  • I personally would get one of the thicker ones they sell at Target and BRU for like $24..... but thats just me.

  • We have a thick one, but that's only because we got a changing table with a fancy pad for free.  Otherwise, we wouldn't even have had a changing table - just would have put a pad on our dresser.  My mom changed five kids without any table (padded or not) at all.  I don't think it's necessary.
  • the one it came with should be fine.  It's not like he'll be spending much time up there, just whatever time it takes to change him.  We're getting a pad but we're using the top of the dresser too so it's a different deal.
