Cramping at 18 weeks??/

I had a few of the strangest cramps tonight.  Kind of like the kind I used to get when I ran too fast in gym class??  They went all around my belly.  They passed after a bit and seemed to have gone away, but does anyone know why they happened at all??  I have been lounging around at a barbecue all day today, so I can't think of what would have brought them on??  Any advice is greatly appreciated :)

    hum...my advice with a multiples pg is to CALL YOUR DR NOW..things can go wrong and fast..trust me. Or you could just be having Braxton Hicks...but your OB needs to know...now, don't wait, worst they'll say is just come in in the am...but if they don't want to see you, I'd be worried.  At the sign of ANYTHING my OB saw me. Thank god...if not, I'd ahve lost my babies b/c I was having strange/odd cramps for no reason..I'd been sleeping ALL night when this happened.

     

    Not to be an alarmist, but I really feel that too many people take for granted potential issues during a multiple's pregnancy.
