Lettie. I don't really like boyish nicknames for girls. My name is Jessica and I always hated being called Jesse.
OMG! I thought I was the only one. I've always been called Jess, and have told everyone Jesse is a boys name. I don't mind Jessica, but I prefer Jess. When someone calls me Jesse, I pretend I don't hear them. It's kind of childish, but I tell everyone I meet not to call me Jesse.
I really dislike the nickname Charlie for a girl, and don't think Char is that cute either. But Lottie or Lettie is darling and unpredictable while still following current baby naming trends.
I love this name! It is so sweet and elegant in the form of Charlotte and so cute as the nickname Charlie. It is a GREAT name Definitly one I would have considered if we were having a girl.
Our Charlotte just goes by Charlotte. DH calls her Charlie - but that's his nickname for her - we never introduce her as Charlie. Sometimes I call her Sharlie - because that's what my other daughter calls her. And occassionally Char-Char when I'm goofing around. But I mostly call her Charlotte.
I think Lottie is a cute nickname, too. I'm not a fan of Char.

Our #1 girls name is Charlotte. It drives me crazy that everyone asks what her nickname will be. She will be called Charlotte! All the nicknames (except Shar - which I hate) are two syllables. What's the point? Charlotte is such a timeless and classy name. Why ruin it with a trendy nn? To clarify my strong opinion, DH and I are fans of naming our babies exactly what they will be called. If you like Charlie/Lottie - name her that instead of Charlotte. GL though! The good thing about baby names is that it doesn't matter what anyone else things!
Re: Nickname for Charlotte
Charlie.
My grandmother went by Charly with an sh- sound at the beginning.
I like:
Charlie
lottie
Char (with ch sounding like sh at the beginning)
Charlie, hands down. I love this as a girl's nn.
My grandmother (Charlotte) goes by Char ("shar").

This was one of my favorite girl's names. Had we been able to use it, I wouldn't have really given her a NN. It doesn't really need one.
But to be playful when she is little, I would have called her Cha-Cha, maybe. Or CC, if we'd done double C initials.
This exactly.?
I know this might sound crazy but how bout Halo. cHArLOtte.
that does sound crazy
