Re: Julia Henry
Wow, thanks for the recs! I've never heard of the building museum, but it sounds perfect! We'll go next week.
We're planning to see Mount Vernon tomorrow as they have a full day of kiddie activities, but we're here for 2 more weeks, we're happy to check out anything and everything.
Thanks again! And have a great 4th!
Wow, that's great that you're going to be here in the area for 2 weeks. You can certainly see and do a lot of things.
I don't know if you're a big nature lover, but you might want to check out Great Falls Park. I've never been all this time I've lived here, but DH says it has some great views of the Potomac and the falls.
There's a carousel on the National Mall across from the main Smithsonian building (the Castle).
You can go to the tidal basin by the Jefferson Memorial and there are paddle boats you can pay to go out in.
I'll keep thinking to see if I can come up with other ideas.
Thank you, DNA! We're going to check out the carousel tomorrow and possibly the paddle boats.
I very much appreciate the ideas! Hope you had a great 4th!
