We've gone through several blow-up ones and they always got a weird funky slime in them right away, even though we drained the water daily and it's obviously very dry here. We ended up getting a small, hard-sided pool from Petsmart, of all places. We liked the small one because we did drain it daily, it was less water to refill and it warmed up quicker. I think I've seen the small pools at Frys and maybe Walmart, too.

We have an AWESOME and indestructible kiddie pool but unfortunately it's not made anymore. It's made by Step 2 and is hard plastic with a drain plug in the bottom. I know this isn't much help if you really want one today, but if you look I occasionally see them on Craigslist or other such sites.
Search for "Step 2 Big Splash." This is what it looks like:
Do Not get the one from Frys that is blue and white with 4 seats and 2 cupholders. It doesn't have a DRAIN. Wtf manufactures a kiddie pool with no drain. Unbelievable waste of $45. Sorry, I needed to vent but want to make sure that you don't get ripped off either.
