Update: Ob appt. yesterday. They ordered a some labs to check iron and thyroid to see if maybe that has something to do with the excessive fatigue that won't go away. I scheduled my big u/s. The soonest they could get me in is the 24th. So 3 weeks till then and the countdown begins!
Q: Dh is working tomorrw, but we will probably go down to the river to watch fireworks in the evening.
Updates: I move back to the US this weekend!! I miss my DH already and I haven't even left yet! Went to my midwife yesterday and got the clearance to travel. The girls are doing great!!
QOTD: Unfortunately, there will be no celebrating the 4th over in the UK...but I arrive at my Grandma's house and we always extend the celebration--so I plan to join in late to the family festivities at her house every year (she is 92 years old this weekend!!)

No plans other than relaxing over the weekend. We don't really celebrate it up here in Canada either, but I still have a soft spot for the holiday since I'm American.
P.S. Eileen - We have the same due date!!

My foster son is turning 2 tomorrow, so we're having a little birthday party for him. We're taking him to see the fireworks in the evening. It will be his first time seeing them. I'm so excited!
Not much new on the pregnancy front : )
We just moved into a new house so we'll probably just try to get pictures up, do some yard work, and settle in some more. I am really excited to get to a local orchard though and either pick or just buy some fresh strawberries!! Berry picking is my absolute favorite summer activity : D
Would you add me? My EDD is 12/11/09.
Our next ultrasound is Wednesday, 7/8. We should be able to find out the sex(es) of the babies then!
Update: I stopped by my OB today because they sent one of my blood samples to the wrong lab (seriously) so I decided to ask about the size that the twins measured at our visit last Friday. For some reason, the dr. did not tell me and I was so overwhelmed with the first visit that I forgot to ask. So I found at that Baby A measured 9w 5d and Baby B measured 9w 4d...our appointment was at 9w 3d...my litter munchkins are growing!
QOTD: We are actually going to a wedding on July 4th. My DH is not thrilled because we love BBQs but it is one of my friends from work and we have to go. We are just going to BBQ on July 5th...which is when we will be making the big announcement to the family! FUN!
plans for this weekend....we are putting offers in on two houses and we cant decide which one we like better so we are going to see what happens!
i have a numb spot on the top left of my belly (where my ribs used to be) dr. said its normal, possible deadening of the nerves due to growth. its weird and i dont like it. jakob has taken a liking to kicking my bladder and michael has taken a liking to nudging under my rib. good times. and thats whats new with us.

Had my 31 week check up yesterday and everything looked great. OB said I was born to have twins! No changes to my cervix (besides some softening, which is nothing to fret over) and they got all the info they needed from my NST in seemingly record time from what I've read on here. The babies were super active but still managed not to slip off the monitors the whole time. He has said nothing about worrying they're coming earlier than 37 weeks - our goal.
QOTD: Nothing really for us. I poop out pretty quickly and it's super hot here (we've hit 100 each day, sometimes over, for nearly 2 weeks straight). Even at night it's pretty much too warm to be outside for very long - especially while carrying 2 babies! My ILs are having some people over to swim at their house, so we may go hang out with the "old folks" for a while. Our friends are having a BBQ and watching the Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest, so we may stop by there first and see who wins. But that's about it. We'd normally light fireworks at the ILs since they're out of city limits, but everyone is under a burn ban because we haven't had rain in so long. Boo.
Update: I FINALLY GOT A JOB! I have been unemployed since February, but not anymore!
Go for our Big U/S on the 14th, can't wait. Starting to feel some major movements, and occasional prods from the outside.
Question: I'm canadian, so we had our big holiday on the 1st, but this weekend is my birthday, so we will be celebrating that!
I would love to be added to the list. I am due 1/23/10 with twins. Not sure of the genders yet or if they are going to be identical or fraternal, but will update on any news!
Update: It's getting hard to type on the laptop with a big belly in the way, lol. I've been having contractions off and on today, nothing consistent so hopefully the kids will stay put for a little while longer.
QOTD: The heat takes it out on me plus the swelling is bad, so no urge to go to the party here, but fireworks are tonight at 9pm. I think we are just taking our lawn chairs and sitting down on the corner of the street so we can watch them rather than fight traffic. DH cleaned the house and I took a nap, not much planned other than that.
(Modified) bedrest for me so no fun plans for the 4th.
Dr appt yesterday. Had my blood checked to see if anemic, I am not he said it was on the higher end. We then had a growth u/s. The babies look great. The tech still couldnt get a good look at baby b(girl?). Just doesnt want to show anything, not even her face. Baby a is breech pushing baby b into my ribs. Baby b's head is on the right laying across the top of baby a and getting kicked in the head. Baby a is 3lbs7oz and baby b is 2lbs15oz, not sure if that is big difference or not guess we will find out either next week if the dr calls or in two weeks at my appt.
QOTD- We are going home to see my family, its kind of like a reunion. We then will come back home and have some friends over the go to the next town over and see fireworks. We usually go with my h's family since they all live here. We didnt go last year since my son was so little, my h thought it would scare him too much. So we will see how this year goes.
