Whatever you want to talk about!
I try to catch the updates on the check in posts. My apologies If I miss anyone.
Congratulations to bcn68 on your BFP!!!!

Re: ****Weekly Check In---7/2/09****
Hi All!
Update: I take my last bcp on Saturday and go for my baseline u/s on 7/08. Other than that just having my morning Lupron shot & daily dose of whatever pills I have to take
QOTW: my FIL is in town and we will be going down to Roswell for the Alien Festival (they have a parade & everything!) and then to the Carlsbad Caverns to spend a day in a cave...anyway, should be fun and maybe I'll get an interesting new pic for my siggy
What are your plans for the weekend? Do you and your family do anything special to celebrate Independence Day? We are spending the weekend with my inlaws. They are feeding us.
Any favorite childhood memories of summer celebrations? Just going to the park with my family or going out to the lake in Oklahoma. I grew up in Tulsa.
I am waiting to O. I hope the ovulation tests work. My AF last week was really clotty, so I am hoping it looks more normal in future.
QOTW: We are headed to our lake house in Ky with a couple friends. Should be fun. Memories: no real memories that stand out for the 4th of july.
Update: I had my lap/hyst...I am all cleaned out. YAY...DH still has a ridiculously low testosterone. Was supposed to have an MRI yesterday but the machine was broken. So now he is having it Monday. they are looking for a tumor near his pituitary...have a great fourth everyone.!
DoubleFlyaway- MI/DC, 31 (OK, I'm here for moral support, esp. of GDF), TTC since 06/09
QOTW: have a friend visiting for the 4th; taking her to watch the National fireworks celebration tomorrow; also celebrating our dogs' first birthdays with human and dog treats and dog toys!
Update: Starting Cycle 2. Using CBEFM and checking CM, but not temping for various reasons. Interesting that CBEFM didn't ask for a stick today like it did last month, starting on day 6. I guess it's getting to know me. I wonder when it will start asking. Last month I o'ed on approximately day 16.
Hey! We're in DC for the month, so going to take in the fireworks and other fun activities.
DC moms, any rec's? we have a 3.5 yo so kid-friendly is a +
Oh, and I can be moved over to the 'success stories' list - BFP last night!
I'm in the 2ww, but not much hope. It is hard to have much hope after 8 cycles. I am supposed to have HSG next cycle, but I think our vacation will interfere with the timing. Depends exactly on when AF arrives. Gyn also mentioned starting clomid, but doubt that will happen without the HSG. DH did SA and we are waiting on results. I swear TTC is an exercise in patience!
We are going to inlaws 4th of July party tomorrow. Otherwise, just a lazy weekend and a little bit of work. My (very urban) neighborhood is crazy on the 4th of July. Seriously sounds like a war zone until about 2am. I can just watch out my window and see commercial grade fireworks. Scares me to death. Where do these people buy this stuff????
Char--I want to go to the Alien Festival. How fun!
Hi everyone! Happy 4th of July!
My in laws are coming for the weekend and we have a small family reunion on my m.i.l.'s side. My s.i.l. is coming with her month old baby, our nephew and godson, for his first weekend visit. We're just going to relax on our new patio (that we spent all week installing ourselves!) and spending time with family.
I visited my dr yesterday for a follow up to a mammogram/ultrasound for breast lumps-apparently I have extremely dense breasts and they are very lumpy so they are referring me to a breast specialist to make sure they aren't feeling any 'bad lumps'. Who knew these little B cups could be so much trouble? Sigh. I'm trying not to worry about it.
My dr urged me to only chart for a few months and if my cycle is regular, to stop charting because she thinks it just stresses people out unneccesarily. So we shall see!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Update: I'm just waiting to O. It should happen sometime next week. I've been so stressed lately since I got laid off. DH has been giving me massages and I'm trying to get more relaxed so I can enjoy our time together.
QOTW: What are your plans for the weekend? Do you and your family do anything special to celebrate Independence Day? Any favorite childhood memories of summer celebrations?
We're going to see my dad and stepmom today. I think we're having dinner with friends one night. Otherwise, we just plan to relax. We've never done anything special to celebrate Independence Day. As a kid, we were usually traveling for one to two months out of the summer, so we just celebrated wherever we were. It usually involved hot dogs and hamburgers, and sparklers. That's it.
I am in my 2ww and am 7dpo (I guess I'm not either really optimistic or just don't care because I had to actually look it up where I am in my cycle). I may test early and then again because of the low optimism may not--who am I kidding of course I'll test, I'm nowDNAtoo and I'm a POAS-aholic!
QOTW: DH had to work today (he's in banking) so DS and I will run errands when he gets up from his nap. Tomorrow we will go outlet mall shopping. This has become our tradition for the last 3 years now. We used to see neighborhood fireworks driving down the road as we went home, but since DS goes to bed early I guess we'll just watch them on tv.
As far as childhood traditions we didn't really do anything special other than grill out. We did have a neighbor for a couple years who would do a fireworks show in his backyard and we would sit and watch. These were big fireworks too, so I'm not sure where he got them. Although we were in PA and it was back in the late 70s, early 80s so I'm sure there was more stuff out there back then.
Update: I'm in the 2WW. DH's SA is Sunday, and we go for our second RE apt. Aug 3rd.
QOTW: We might go to the beach early in the morning. It will be DD's first time! Then, we're having a small BBQ in our backyard with me, DH, DD, and my mother. Happy 4th to everyone!!!
I remember the Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty Centennial Celebrations in 1983 and 1986! My father worked in the WTC at the time. We all went and watched the fireworks from his building. I remember feeling very patriotic and proud.
Update - Waiting to O. Should be sometime within the next week or two. Not much to update LOL
QOTW - We are going to a pool party at a friends house Sat & Sun going to an all-class reunion picnic for my high school.
I can remember in my neighborhood a bunch of families got together and did fireworks in the street. (back in the 70's before most fireworks were banned) Also visited my brother when he lived in DC & watched the fireworks there, that was fun, I was in my early 20's.
Congrats all BFP's & Good Luck to everyone else!
Hi all. Currently I too am waiting to O...should happen here in a few days. We have our first RE appt. on 7/14 (aka cd CD23...maybe we'll be PG by then and won't need their assistance...fingers crossed)
We are spending the 4th with DH's family down in the mountains of Western NC. It really is nice and relaxing down here. We're just planning a small cookout.
I guess one of my fondest 4th of Juyt memories goes back to my pree teen years. My parents took me to see a Philadelphia Phillies games and the fireworks spectacular afterwards. It was awesome...especially for a 12 year old girl.
And it is much needed and appreciated!
Update: Next Thursday is my first RE appointment, and I cannot wait!
QOTW: This is what I'm doing on the 4th! LOL. Just staying home and doing a little studying for a test I have to take in August.
Heh... I miss some things, but not that. Definitely not that.
Hi, you can add me!
Dochas, age 39, NJ, TTC since 09/08
update - going back to work Mon after laparoscopy on 6/24. Follow up dr. appt on 7/13.
This was our first 4th in our new house. We went to a friend's party and had a ball!
Hello ladies. If yo don't mind I'd like in on this too.
I'm Stephanie TTC #4 and final!
Nest Name ExAngel Age 35 Location Colorado TTC since 06/09
As for the QOTW - no special plans, my big kids both had friends over to spend the night and we all stayed up late watching movies. It was awesome to have such a full house.
Hi Everyone!
I think I am finally ready to be added to the Success Stories list. We are 11 weeks today and gearing up for our Early Screen this week. I am crazy nervous, but so far all signs point to a very normal baby. Eeeek! : )
DH and I went to see fireworks last night. It was ridiculously hot, and we sat in the back of our SUV with the hatch popped up in the middle of a field. Kind of romantic except for the giant mosquitos! Other than that I have been sleeping all of the time. Can't wait to have more energy again!
Congrats to all of the recent BFP's and baby dust to all!
