DD is on an antibiotic because she MAY have a slight sinus infection. She has been on it for a week now. The diarrhea started Saturday and she started vomiting yesterday.

I tried getting her to take Florastor but she won't drink it. Would you stop the antibiotic? The pedi told me to continue with it, but I hate seeing her like this for a possible infection. I actually have not heard her cough in almost a week now. She's had a cough since January. She's supposed to be on the antibiotic for another 7 days.

 So, if this was your DC, WWYD?

I'd do my best to finish the antibiotic.  It can cause issues if you don't.  Will she eat yogurt?  Does it help for her to eat something with the meds?

She will eat yogurt and is asking for it. I wasn't sure if I should give it to her since she's vomiting. I was thinking dairy wasn't good for them when they have an upset belly?

What antibiotic is she on and what is Florastor?

Florastor is a probiotic that puts the good bacteria back into their system to help with side effects from the antibiotic.

She's on Cefdinir.

If she's vomitting because of the antibiotic, I think yogurt (the kind with the live cultures) would help.  But maybe the dairy would outweigh the benefits.  Can you sneak Florastor into something else?
