Lab Rats!

Sorry this was so long, I haven't told anyone about being pg or I would have vented this one out on my sister!

 

I went to the lab today to have blood work done to make sure my numbers are doubling due to blood and small clots when I pee.  Prior to going there I was talking to my doctor and said "There is no way I'm going to be able to do the urine test for them again, I just went pee here".  She said "No problem just give them the urine sample on Friday when you go back for tests on Friday."

So I head down to the lab.  First thing first it was the girl that acted like she was blind last time I was pg!  My vein was right there and she was poking and prodding!  Ugh! So then she tells me to go take my urine test... so I tell her the whole story about peeing just 10 minutes ago that I have to come back Friday yada yada!  She rolled her eyes and said "YOU HAVE TO HAVE A URINE SAMPLE" so I said "I DON'T HAVE TO PEE!"  Then she goes out of the room and comes back in and says "It is very important that we take your urine sample TODAY so we can get the results back on Monday, if you take it Friday we won't be able to get them back until Tuesday or Wednesday (end of the world I know).  Soooo then she said "Anyway we are closed on Friday and Saturday see?" and she points at a sign that I can't even read with my glasses on that must say they are closed for the holiday.  I say "Well if your not open Friday then I should just go to a lab on another sight because I need to have the test done again in 48 hours to make sure my numbers are doubling."  This sent the whole office into confusion!  They couldn't comprehend (or didn't want to listen) to what I was saying about having to test again to make sure my numbers are doubling (this is a woman's hospital BTW)... All they cared about was getting me to pee in a cup!  So I told my story again to two other ppl two times... the second time I told them I said had to speak as if I was talking to a 4 years old... I even had to use my hands!  So they called up to my doctors office and I could hear them saying... yeah but she can have everything else done today right? 

NO! You rotten women... your not sticking a needle in me three times so you can results back one day sooner... you already have to do it two times... I think that is enough!  

So I am going back tomorrow and Monday which will be 72 hours instead of 48 but my dr office approved the time frame!   I will also be writing a nice little note on the comment cards in the lobby!  Hmmm.... if I am remembering corectly, being pg makes me speak my mind A LOT!

uuuggghhh some people are so annoying and stupid.  sorry you had to meet some of them today.  p.s. i hope all turns out to be perfectly fine.
