My 3 month old is waking for no reason

My DS is killing me, I am so tired! He used to wake up only twice a night now he's up 4 times a night. But 2 of those times is just because, he doesnt nurse, he doesnt cry or want to play. He'll fuss and grunt and wiggle and I'll reswaddle him and he goes back to being peaceful. Than I have to try to fall back asleep only to be woken 1-2hrs later to feed him. I dont know what I should do. And its difficult to just let him be so he can go back to sleep on his own because he sleeps in his PNP on my side of bed. Help!

Re: My 3 month old is waking for no reason

  • I'm guessing ear infection or the 4month crankies have hit already.  Couldn't hurt to check for teeth either.

    Good luck, no sleep sucks!

  • You thihnk?? Hmm.... he isnt really crying during this time. He is still sorta asleep when he starts grunting and kicking. Its weird.

  • maybe he has gas?

Sooo not what you want to hear, but I think that's pretty much par for the course for a three month old. Or at least the two three month olds who've lived in my house. Surprise

The only thing that worked for us was time, unfortunately.

  • Darn you both! lol

If thats how its got to be than thats fine ::sigh:: I just sorta wondered if I should wean him off the swaddle or if I shouldnt get up with him when he stirs.

  • Ugh, we have the same thing happening here with my two month old - not crying but grunting and breaking out of the swaddle.  I have decided it is time to move him into his own room so I am not tempted to pick him up each time and we can all sleep better!
