I have only gained 1 pound, but I can't button my pants anymore. I'm not ready to buy maternity stuff! I have the bella band, but it's more annoying than helpful.

1. Your dog is adorable I love the pic
2. I was the same way at 9 weeks. I haven't bought any maternity stuff but since it is summer I have been wearing dressy gouchos to work for bottoms (sooo comfy!)?
Been this way since about 8 weeks. Was wearing lots of sundresses outside work, I get to wear scrubs to work. Bought some cute pants from Motherhood Maternity and I dont know what took me so long-they feel like heaven and no one can tell they are maternity. You have to be comfy!
~ Diagnosed with PCOS in March 2009. Taking Metfomin for insulin resistance and irregular cycles/ovulation.
Had healthy baby girl in Jan 2010 via C-Section (HTN and Breech Presentation). ~ Miscarry at 8 weeks with D&C in May 2011 (low progesterone). ~ Had a healthy baby girl in June 2012 via C-Section (on prometrium to sustain). ~ Surprise pregnancy at age 40! Baby boy due April 26, 2021 (took prometrium to sustain once pregnancy was confirmed, 3rd C-Section planned).
I'm not 9 weeks, but I'm so bloated even things that DO still button are uncomfortable. I hated the idea of maternity wear so early on, so I went on a sundress binge. Best part is, when it's a real bump, they;ll still look cute as can be, and I can wear them next summer too!
My Signature won't work! I am a proud mommy of two (1&3) and starting an adventure to help a family having a baby through surrogacy.

I have just been feeling like a big fat cow this week...I was bloated when I first got the + HPT, and then it went away for like a week. Now I feel 10 times more bloated!
I bought the Bella Band in a size bigger than suggested, but I fold it over itself; it's been so comfy and such a help. Maybe try that...? I've also been wearing dresses!
Today was a big day for me--it was the first day I couldn't button my pants (at 10 w 2 d)! The 5 lbs I've put on aren't helping any I suppose. I finally got to break out the Bella Band and I love it. So glad that I already had one ready to go.
I am also nine weeks and have lost 11 lbs. yet my clothes aren't fitting the way they used to...so frustrating. I normally wear dresses all summer, but not this year. Too many show more fullness in my belly than I want right now...at least until I actually announce that I am pg.
Right now I am loving my mircoknit gauchos...so comfy and still doable at work.
I am 10 weeks tomorrow and I feel FAT! I am so bloated, havent gained weight but my pants are starting to not fit as well. I have the belly band and sun dresses as well! I think i need to get some more!
I have felt super bloated and at only 6 weeks I am no where ready for maternity clothes. I have heard that black yoga pants can be a great substitue for dress pants! Did you also read the tips for "cheating" your buttons, like using a rubberband or hair-tie to loop through. My sister did this until the hair-ties wouldn't stretch any further ;-)
I've lost about 10 pounds so far, and I am in maternity pants. They are so much more comfortable (bloat is horrendous), and you can't tell they are maternity. Best decision I've made so far
I feel your pain! I started feeling the squeeze really early on and I have lost weight. Maternity pants are so very comfy and surprisingly stylish these days. I also heart my sundresses and my gauchos. The important thing is to find the comfort zone!
If you're not feeling the bella band (I know some here have said it's too tight/uncomfortable) try Old Navy or Target tank tops. They're waaay long and easily cover below the zipper. My friend used that under suits and just pinned her pants tabs together with the zipper open. Hope that makes sense.
reading this has made me feel so much better! i am 10 weeks and 5 days and I just started using bella bands. i tried the hair band trick but every time i had to unbutton the hair band flew across the bathroom
i just feel thick all over. it's such a wierd feeling watching your whole body thicken up with no real sign of a baby bump yet! good luck to everybody!
make the leap girl i did the other day i cant stand the whole bella badn thing its awful and im not putting a rubber band on my pants that uncomfortable too!!!! and my ass and hips have gotten bigger half my pants dont even go up!! and ive only gained 3 lbs!!! im so comfy in my maternity pants right now they don't even look like maternity pants and i will wear them for the next 6 mos!! trust me its scary but but just do it!!!
buy maternity pants - it's better to be comfy. With DS, we went out of town and it was cold at night. I went to put on my jeans the first night and couldn't zip them. This was around 8 or 9 weeks. I was so cold the rest of the trip!

It gets better. This morning I put on a dress shirt that I wore last week and couldn't get it buttoned over the ladies. If I hadn't been already running late to work and had to iron a brand new outfit, I would have been quite pleased with myself. Now that I have been at work a few hours, I find the humor in it.
I'm with you on the Bella Bands, very annoying. The materity pants I bought last weekend have a date with the washer and drier tonight!
I am almost 7 weeks and my pants are getting tight!!! I just bought two pairs of size 10 jeans (I usually wear an 8). I am going to try to wear those as long as possible. I hate having a roll over my pants when I sit down.
Oh- I am so glad to hear that I am not the only one feeling fat and bloated. I feel like my back side has gotten bigger already and nothing around my waist feels good. I really dislike jeans right now. They are the most uncomfortable thing. I might have to break down and go buy some maternity pants just for comfort. I do have a couple of sundresses that I could wear to work too.
Oh, good! My pants havent been buttoned in a few weeks!!! I love my Be Band from target! its wonderful at work and covers my butt crack!~:) We don't own a scale so I'm not sure how much weight I have gained but it feels like 20 lbs and my lower timmy is starting to get hard!!! YAY!
Same here. I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow and at 6 weeks I was bloated. my jeans were getting tight in my tummy area. Now at almost 10 I haven't tried to put on my old jeans lol im in my maternity capris and Old Navy had these really cute skirts on sale. They are stretchy and you can dress them up or down. I wear them a lot! Love them! Im just staying away from my old pants lol Good luck
Do yourself a favor and buy maternity pants. I am wearing them to work today and no one can tell they are maternity. I am so much more comfortable and I really don't care that I am only 10 weeks and not showing.
Oh man, thanks to you ladies I'm feeling a little better. I don't come on very often and have been feeling kinda embarassed about the clothing situation since no one outside of DH and BFF knows I'm pregnant yet. But I have lost 3 lbs and I can't understand why my food baby just keeps feeling bigger; make back has even started hurting today! I wear scrubs to work too and they help with the comfort level, but boy am I afraid to get back in any jeans; and I don't think the rubberband trick helps. Anyway, its good to know that you 9 weekers are going through something similar.
