Traveling with carseats??

we are flying with the kids in a couple of weeks.  We have a ticket for my DS and DD will sit on my lap.  So, we will have one carseat on the plane with us and the other one will get checked.  What can I put the carseat in?   I don't really want to pay $40 for a carseat cover that I will use once.  What do you do?

We bought these and checked them at the counter. ?They held up well for being on $13.99.

i just got back from flying and there were at least 10 carseats that were checked.  i saw one that wasn't in anything and the rest were in large, clear plastic bags.

Ask at the check in counter for a bag they give you a thick plastic bag.  Gate check it also so it doesn't get as beat up.
