Just a quick stroller question, I'm not sure if I am remembering correctly or not, but did you have a Quinny Zapp that you recently won and then got rid of? We looked at one this weekend because we need to replace our lightweight stroller and really liked it (or so we think), but wasn't sure if we missed something and I was wondering what it was that you didn't like about it? Do you have any other recommendations for both a lightweight stroller and we will probably buy a new nicer, larger stroller later before the baby comes, but don't know what I want except for the fact that I do know that I would like for it to have a pram option.

Yes, while the Quinny Zapp was nice (and I'm a big fan of Quinny, love our Buzz), I felt that the Maclaren Volo we already had was a better lightweight stroller for us. ?It offers the same features as the Zapp but is lighter and has a better shade. ?It doesn't recline (neither does the Zapp) but that hasn't been an issue for us since K rarely falls asleep in the stroller.
?The Volo is also much cheaper than the Zapp and you can use BRU coupons to get it even cheaper. ?If you want an umbrella that reclines, look at the rest of the Maclaren line. ?For less than the price of a Zapp, you can get a Maclaren Quest, which fully reclines and is much lighter and easier to fold than the Zapp.?
Now, full size, pram option strollers are a whole other ball game. ?I, as I said earlier, am a big fan of the Quinny Buzz, but you have to purchase the pram separately if you want to use that option, putting it at close to the price of a Bugaboo. ?I still like Quinny over Bugaboo, though, because of the fold. ?Bugs come apart in two pieces and were made with city living in mind, not folks like us who drive to get to 99% of the places we are going and need a simple fold that's easy to get in and out of the trunk.
There are a ton of new strollers on the market now, though, that I haven't researched. It's awesome that Buy Buy Baby is coming to town. ?They cary all the great strollers and you can test drive them all there, including Stokke, Orbit, Quinny, Bug, Phil&Teds, etc. ?I would say hit them up to do some research when they open.?
Thanks for all of the feedback! I really liked the Zapp and the way it handled and our son fit in the stroller well, so that's why I really liked it. I might check out the Quest or some of the other MacLaren's though too and see if we like any of those. I know my DH did not like the Volo's when we looked at them before because they seemed too lightweight I guess. I think he really likes the contemporary look of the Zapp too. Plus, I had seen them on sale on Albee Baby and a couple of other places online recently for a lot less than the sticker price of $199+.
We tried the Zapp again at BRU last weekend, but the only thing is that when we put DS in it he looked too big for the thing and did not look comfortable sitting in the seat. We aren't sure if we will need a double stroller when the baby comes either, but are hoping we can have Hudson our of a stroller by then so we can just get a new pram option type stroller. Right now, out of the ones we looked at, I loved the Bugaboo and the Teutonia, but didn't look at them in great detail yet or in great comparison to one another. I also really like the Peg Perego Skate a lot. Wheee!!! This is going to be a lot a fun, ha!
Thanks again for your help and suggestions though! Hopefully, we'll find something that works for us after a little more looking and research.
