Same here. Um, yeah, it's only been over 100 degrees every single friggin' day for the past two weeks, but I didn't realize that it was going to be hot this summer while I was pg! I would have totally tried to plan my ability to produce a child around this if I had just thought ahead! <death glare at idiot commentator>
Could you ask those same meteorologists if they think it will get hot in Vegas this summer? I have no idea what the weather will be like, and would really, really, really appreciate their opinion. Really.
No way! And here I thought it just got hot in the summer in PA! It might be like an Arctic climate compared to where you are, but people still insist on lamenting about how miserable I'll be.

The summer before we moved to Houston, there was a heat wave. That's all we heard about when we first got down here. DH and I didnt believe them because coming from up north any hot weather was good weather, plus folks seemed to complain about the weather no matter what it was. This summer has been the hottest summer in the 4yrs we have been down here. It's so hot that they are considering cancelling some firework shows due to heat and dryness.
I try to avoid going outside during the day unless I really have to. So when I get to work at 7am, I dont leave the building at all until 4pm, for my drive home. Then I'm back in the house until at least 9pm.
Houston Ladies-I transferred from Houston in December and I am glad that I don't have to be 8/9 months pregnant in that humidity! I really feel for you girls. Did you know it was going to be humid?

No way! Humidity too? I'm such a bad mother for putting me and my baby through this during pg. There should apparently be a moratorium on sex from Sept. to Nov. in Houston...
(I'm originally from New Orleans, so I've lived in the humidity my whole life.)
I get the same thing being in Florida. People just tell me how miserable I am going to be and wonder how I am going to make it. Really? I have lived in Florida for 19 years. I never noticed the heat before....
