Up until yesterday my DH and I were set on Sean Patrick (DH's name is Sean). Now he is having second thoughts. Any ideas for an Irish/Celtic first name that goes with Sean as a middle name??
I love the name Sean...it was between Sean & Ryan for DS & dh liked Ryan a little better. But that probably doesn't help...Ryan Sean doesn't really sound right to me.
Sean is a better first name I think than a middle...JMO
ahhh Sean Patrick is so cute. And there is the Gaelic form of Patrick which is Padraig or Padriac i believe. Shane is my favorite, but Shane Sean would not sound good!! I come from a family with lots of Gaelic names so i could throw alot out there. Maybe Declan ,Riocard(don't pronounce the "O"),Brody,Colin,Rowan,Craig,Connor,Keiron,Kevin,Pearce,James,Nolan, Kyle, Liam,Trevor......
My DH's name is Sean too! We're also going with traditional Irish names; so, I've been looking at these for a while! Here are some that I like (that you may or may not like with Sean for a mn!):
Declan
Dugan
Eagan/Egan
Ewan
Colm
Lachlan or Laughlin (close, but slightly different pronounciations)
Hugh (my grandpa's name)
Brennan
Cormac
Murphy
Monroe
Cullen
Kieran
Finnian/Finnigan/Fionn/Finn/Finley (you get the picture!)

The only one I'd add that I didn't see is Eamon (Ay-mon).
Behindthename.com has good lists by ethnic groups. Just wanted to point out that some names are Irish and Scottish, like Colin.
